Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: For dinner we had the seafood kaiseki set and the beef kaiseki set. We were astounded with the way the food was presented as well as the quality of the food. Same with breakfast. The staff provided impecable service throughout our stay. The rooms were roomy and clean and we enjoyed the private baths. Kakuraisen has set a very high bar.

Summary: We will not be forgetiing our first ever kaiseki course and our first ever stay at a ryokan.
